Medication Management:  Medication is often used to help relieve symptoms of psychiatric illness.  Dr. Singh uses his expert skill in psychopharmacology to perform comprehensive evaluations and establish a clear plan of action to support continued health for each patient.  Areas of expertise include depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, and thought disorders.

Individual Psychotherapy:  There is tremendous value in talking through your ideas, problems, and current stressors.  Dr. Singh’s alignment with both Monica Barrett and Robin Jahanian allows for all patients entering Tysons Psychiatry, both adolescents and adults, to connect with professionals who havethe expertise to help reach a deeper understanding of problems and solutions.  Special areas of expertise include addictions, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, behavior disorders, and cognitive disorders.

Couples Counseling:  There are a variety of reasons for a couple to seek support and assistance from an outside professional (communication, identity, dependence, finances, family dynamics, infertility, etc).  As a fundamentally strong couple going through a crisis, or a couple who feels as though the relationship is beyond what you can manage alone, Tysons Psychiatry can offer specialized services to help explore, strengthen and re-establish a relationship for a couple that is looking to move forward in a relationship.

Group Therapy:  Group psychotherapy is a special form of therapy.  Under the guidance of a professional here at Tysons Psychiatry we offer small groups of individuals, both adolescents and adults, the opportunity to learn about themselves, improve interpersonal relationships, and develop a support network of individuals with similar problems.  We currently offer groups for both adults and adolescents.  Specialized groups for adults focus on substance abuse, depression, and psychological group therapy for individuals with cancer (both in present treatment and survivors).  For adolescents Tysons Psychaitry offers groups focused in depression and mood disorders. 

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation:  One of the great advances in modern psychiatry and neurology, TMS is a therapeutic intervention sought by many people who prefer not to use medications or who have had an inadequate response to medications.  TMS is a focused, non-systemic, minimal to zero side effect procedure which requires no anesthesia, unlike risks associated with ECT.  TMS can be used as a first line treatment, or later on in therapy, or as a supplement.  Tysons Psychiatry is proud to bring this effective treatment with TMS NeuroHealth to the area.
